MEDIA RELEASE: ‘Record-breaking Year’ 
for Downtown Acton’s Leathertown Festival

The 2018 Leathertown Festival wrapped up this past Sunday (August 12, 2018) after an incredible turn out. This trended in record-breaking numbers as measured by attendance, vendors number and entertainment points.

Over it’s 42-year history the Acton Leathertown Festival has attracted thousands of visitors from all across Ontario. It is the largest annual single-day event that occurs in Halton Hills. The festival is a celebration of Acton’s unique heritage and pushing the message of why, “It’s Worth The Drive To Acton!”

This years’ festival featured 3 main components:
 


• 3 Live Performance Stages, with headliner Juno-Award-winning Splash N’ Boots.
• A Large Car Show, featuring classic, performance and custom vehicles.
• Impromptu entertainment around the festival streets.

This year Downtown Acton was host to over 15,000 attendees coming in from across the Province of Ontario. It is the largest turn-out the Festival has accommodated in its 42-year run. This year also marked the largest year for vendors – 120 to be exact – an the majority of them from the Town of Halton Hills and Acton community.

The Festival team and the Downtown Acton BIA was very to receive such an overwhelming amount of community engagement during this year’s event. It was truly fantastic to see.
