March 5th, 2020
2020’s Acton Leathertown Festival will feature highly acclaimed children’s performer Miss Persona as their headlining act. Miss Persona is a two-time Emmy nominated show currently airing daily on Treehouse TV and has over two million views online. Miss Persona brings her favourite silly costumes and magical songs to audiences in her energetic live show.
“We know the free performances bring out families and attract people from farther away” said Kim Duncanson, Leathertown Event Coordinator. “We’re excited to have her”.
The 2020 date is Sunday, August 9th, 11:00am to 5:00pm.
A similar strategy to previous years.
Children’s performers at the festival have been a draw and maintained the daily audience at about 15,000 people. Headline Acts since 2017 have included Sharon & Bram (2017), Splash’N Boots (2018), and Fred Penner (2019). There is no charge for Leathertown attendees to see these Juno award winning musicians perform at the event.
“We’re thrilled to add Miss Persona to our list of festival headliners over the years” said Alex Hilson, Acton BIA Coordinator. “She’s got an engaging show that festival goers are going to love and we’re looking forward to seeing her in August”.
